It's no secret that I love tea. Tea is my coffee, I need it, gotta have it, can't live without it. Tea is my religion.
Ok that got a little intense there, but you get the point. Tea is my jam!
David's Tea is a popular tea shop here in Canada and for the past few years it has been my ultimate tea-stination. However, there has been a new tea shop that has captured my attention and my taste buds, Teavana.
I've been aware of the existence of Teavana, but never really tried their teas before. After walking in and smelling a few different ones, I knew I was hooked. I chose four teas and here are my thoughts on them...

Raw Matcha Protein Balls
Good day everyone, here is something different and new for my blog and I am so excited to share this with you all.
Healthy living is something I feel strongly about. I'm not trying to claim that I live a one hundred percent healthy lifestyle but I do make the effort to eat clean most of the time. This recipe is the beginning of what I hope will be many more simple and healthy recipe posts on my blog.
There are food trends, that is clear. Protein balls of many kinds have been popping up on my Pinterest and Instagram feeds for a while now and it got me quite curious. Today I finally decided to make some of my own protein balls.
I looked up a few different recipes and using the items I had on hand kind of created my own concoction. It turned out quite well and it was incredibly quick and simple to make.

Life.
This past week has been one of the most emotional, hectic, stressful weeks of my life. Losing a loved one will do that to you. Today was the final goodbye to my grandmother.
Times like these really make you think. It makes you think about life, the people in it and what really is important.

Travel Essentials : Thailand.
This is a late post, but better late than never. I have taken a two-week hiatus from this blog due to vacation, hence the subject of this post. I am now back, and there will be posts once again consistently on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The items featured in this were gathered before my trip, obviously, and since I am back home now, I can give a full review of each and tell you how useful they really were.

Erin Condren Life Planner Review
I've been into writing stuff down in agendas and such for a while now. I love the feeling of jotting down a to-do list, especially when I have some nice paper and colourful pens to use.
Last year I purchased my first Erin Condren Life Planner and was super excited to start using it and become more organized. At the end of the year, I had to really think about whether or not I wanted to dish out the cash again and buy an EC Life Planner or try to find a much less expensive alternative. For the month of January, I decided to just purchase a simple planner from Target and use that instead, but after a few weeks of just not reaching for it, I knew I needed to go back to Erin Condren.

An All Natural Beauty and Food Haul
There is this place not too far from where I live that is basically Vitacost in real life. If you don't know what Vitacost is, I suggest you go check out there website now.
Tau Market is a store that sells organic foods and beauty products. I go there to buy stuff such as moisturizer and yummy foods that I cannot find anywhere else. It is just like shopping on Vitacost, and I love it!

Naturebox March 2015
I cannot rave about this subscription service enough! Food, snacking, health, are all words that are not often synonymous, but when Naturebox comes into play, they are!
Receiving this box every month is such a treat and I do have to contain myself from eating them all right away.

Exchange Student's Survival Guide no5: Packing!
Packing for any trip can be a daunting task. What will I need? What will the weather be like? Should I bring my sheets, comforter and pillow? There are many things to consider, especially before embarking on a several-month trip abroad.
After my two exchange trips to France and Germany I have learned about the importance of packing light.

Naturebox January 2015
The full Naturebox experience has been released in Canada and I was very excited to try it out. This meant I was able to choose exactly which snacks I wanted to receive in my monthly box, and there are many different snacks to choose from. All the snacks look very appetizing but I had to narrow it down to five.
Here are the snacks I chose to receive in my Naturebox last month...

Naturebox December 2014
Sorry for the short hiatus, I went on a trip to Vegas and fully enjoyed time off from work after a busy holiday season! Travel posts will be up this week :)
This past week I finally received my December Naturebox and I was very excited about this one. The previous month's box kind of left me less than enthused, but this month more than made up for it!
Here is a closer look at the snacks that made my tummy quite happy over the past week :)

Exchange Student Survival Guide no4: Starting to Plan the Trip
Now that you have applied and hopefully gotten accepted to the program, it's time to start planning the journey there.
If you did some research on bursaries and scholarships before this point you will have information about possible financial help during your exchange semester. This will help you decide how to go about the following steps.

Naturebox November 2014
I received my second Naturebox a couple weeks ago and have been happily snacking on the contents ever since. I really like the concept of this box and I find it quite affordable, and could also make a wonderful holiday present for someone, because subscriptions can last from only 1 month up to an entire year.
The snacks are healthy, different and delicious, a triple threat ;)

Exchange Student's Survival Guide no3: Applying for the Exchange
Now that you have decided where you want to go, it's time to submit your application to your school. Every university will function differently and submission dates and such will vary, but essentially what I will be suggesting and the advice in the post is general and can be applied to most exchange programs in my opinion.

Exchange Student's Survival Guide no2: Deciding Where to Go.
As a young and ambitious high school student many years ago, I was already planning my eventual trip abroad to study while in university. I knew for certain that I wanted to go to Europe. It's such an amazing place filled with history and culture, I knew that living there for several months at a time would be the absolute best opportunity in the world.
When I finally got to university, one of the very first things I did was get in touch with the person in charge of student exchanges. I was told to apply the following February (it was September), so I had several months to look at the partner schools and make my choice.
Seeing as I had chosen a major in Modern Languages studying French Literature and German, it was pretty much decided which countries I'd be going to.

Nature Box October 2014: First Impression and Review
Being an avid Youtube watcher, there are certain products and companies that you hear a lot about. One of these is Naturebox. After hearing about them over and over and getting serious snack cravings from watching these videos I really wanted to get my hands on this yum-filled box.
It's a California-based company that provides a monthly box of delicious and healthy snacks. The US site offers its members the chance to hand pick the snacks they want to receive and how many. There is a wide selection on the American site and pretty much all of the options sound delicious. There are savoury and sweet snacks as well to satisfy both kinds of cravings.

Exchange Student's Survival Guide no1: Intro
Here's a new kind of post I'll be doing once in a while. Since this is a lifestyle blog as well as a beauty blog, it's time I start being more consistent with posting 'lifestyle' bits.
This initial post of this new Exchange Student's Survival Guide series will be an introduction to be journey into wanting to do an exchange and why I believed it was and still is a great idea. I really hope this new kind of post will be helpful and please you all. Here goes nothing...

Candles and Tea
I was trying to figure out what to write about this week and I decided it was time for a non-beauty post.
There are two things that I use everyday while I'm getting ready that make the beginning or end of my day that much more special. I'm talking about candles and tea. Nothing is more pleasant than having a nice cup of tea and a candle burning.
